The fourth book in her series of sell out releases, Poems for Piotr is Lang Leav's first venture into her exciting collaboration with music composer Cyrus Meurant. The elegantly hand-crafted book is accompanied by a music album, featuring the voice of Angela Little, (Ophelia of the Spirits) who was handpicked by Baz Luhrmann to perform in his epic movie, Australia.

Drawn from her own experiences, Poems for Piotr reveals a stylistically written dialogue between two mismatched lovers – in a heartfelt exchange of poetry and prose. As the story unfolds, their disjointed conversation stretches further across a growing divide of time and distance.

Lang’s stunning artworks, together with her innate ability to speak volumes in few words, evokes a quiet yearning throughout this bittersweet love story. Her characters inhabit a world of abject loneliness – one devoid of other humans, where only the company of strange creatures are kept. The atmospheric quality of Cyrus’ music blends seamlessly into this desperately sad, yet beautiful world.

When will I receive my book?

Poems for Piotr is usually shipped within 7 days. However, currently I am working on my new book, Charlie's Widow which means I am unable to handcraft any more copies of Poems for Piotr until March. The final batch of Poems for Piotr will be completed by April 2010 and shipped accordingly thereafter. You will receive a confirmation of your order within 24 hours. What are the features of the book?

The most delightful quality of this book is the integration of music through my collaboration with Cyrus Meurant and Angela Little (Ophelia of the Spirits) whose talents bring my little whimsical and woeful world to life.

Technically, this book has been my most challenging, featuring an exposed spine, ribbon detailing, stitched inlay effects and all new illustrations. Each book is made completely by hand, bound with cloth, numbered dated and hand signed.

What are the dimensions of the book?

The dimensions are: 190 (height) x 140 (width) x 25mm (thick).

This book contains some very mild adult themes so parental guidance is advised.
